Kendall Kingscott were appointed by King’s School, Ottery St. Mary, following a successful bid for funding to the Academies Maintenance Fund.
Poor quality temporary accommodation has long been a problem at the school. This scheme sought to replace this with new purpose-built permanent accommodation connected to the more recent developments on the site. Six new general purpose classrooms and 2 dedicated ICT suites were provided along with an extension to the existing 6th Form Centre.
Throughout the project, we performed the role of Architect and Project Manager on an exceedingly challenging programme to deliver the accommodation and capital spend by the end of June 2013 to meet funding requirements. The project was Highly Commended in the Education category of the 2014 South West LABC Awards.
