Currently looking at the Marlborough College - Summerfield House project

The remodelling and refurbishment of the 1960’s wing at Summerfield Boarding House was undertaken within a challenging 8 week programme.

Floor plates were reconfigured to allow more natural daylight into circulation space and the 35 bedsits were remodelled and fitted with new furniture and wash hand basins. All areas within the 1960’s wing were fully refurbished involving extensive new mechanical and electrical installations, including new pipework and radiators. New facilities included showers, WC’s, cleaners facilities and brew/coffee station.

A new commercial kitchen was installed on the ground floor providing 80 meals at breakfast and dinner for the building occupants. The dining room was refurbished with new furniture to create a contemporary dining hall with new serving counters to the kitchen.

The works also included a new flat roof system with insulation replacing the existing uninsulated roof. New windows were provided at ground floor level and external areas were relandscaped.
