Currently looking at the Kingsmarsh and Baynton project

Kendall Kingscott worked closely with Bristol City Council’s Special Projects Team to develop appropriate and sustainable designs which provide new large affordable family homes on this site in Lawrence Hill, adjacent to the existing high rise Kingsmarsh House and Baynton House.

The second of three projects to be completed for Bristol City Council providing new, much needed Council homes across the city, this project has seen the redevelopment of a former garage site to create 14 new homes - 13 large family houses and a at. A key challenge was the shape of this infill site and the new homes have been designed and carefully sited to present interesting elevations and views out for the new residents.

The new homes are spacious, adaptable and sustainable, designed to meet Level 4 of the Code for Sustainable Homes with accommodation provided in a mix of three and four bedroom houses with additional parlour rooms.

In 2017 the project was recognised by Bristol Civic Society with the presentation of a Design Quality Award and was a regional finalist in the LABC West of England Building Excellence Awards in the category of Best Social or Affordable New Housing Development.
