This scheme forms part of a school expansion plan. In response to new housebuilding in the vicinity it was decided to take the current Greentrees Primary School from 1FE to 2FE but, due to constraints on the current site, this required a split site solution.
A new 2FE Junior School was constructed on the periphery of the nearby Hampton Park housing development on a site secured as part of a S106 agreement. The new school uses the topography of the site to maximise panoramic views to the south.
The school also provides a specialist 2 class ASD work base for pupils with autism. The combined facility offers dedicated teaching space and a new assembly hall suitable for whole school assembly and drama.
