Weston All Saints Primary School appointed Kendall Kingscott to lead the refurbishment of their 6 classroom block as part of an ESFA Condition Improvement Fund (CIF) bid. The existing facilities had M&E installations dating back to the 1950s with various issues including a failed under-floor heating system, hazardous age-expired windows and Asbestos containing materials.
Works included full renewal of Mechanical and Electrical services, including new gas fired boilers, heating infrastructure, lighting, emergency lighting and fire alarm systems.
Asbestos containing materials were removed and all new finishes were provided as a full fabric upgrade including new suspended ceilings and floor finishes along with Upgrades to fire compartments and other fire precautions work. New aluminium double glazed external windows and doors were also provided as part of the scheme.
